EcoUrbia is a not-for-profit community network, committed to creating and facilitating responsive, innovative, and empowering opportunities for mutigenerational engagement, learning, knowledge-sharing, leadership, and growth toward both social and material sustainability.
We are committed to raising awareness, and being responsive to the social, environmental, and economic issues we currently face; to engage our neighbours, community, and local government in developing, and supporting, sustainability-driven initiatives that will enrich our lives, and give rise to greater resiliency.
We are guided by activities that will:
• Support initiatives with a long-term vision and objectives that will bring about social, environmental, and economic benefits to our community;
• Promote activities that seemingly bring about small changes, which can have a big impact when we operate as a network working together to make a difference;
• Create, and support opportunities in which local economies can thrive;
• Consistently practice, and promote socially, and environmentally responsible actions;
• Network, and engage expertise in social, environmental, and economic disciplines that will inform us;
• Participate in local initiatives that promote, and work to improve both social and material sustainability.
